What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the most natural and safe therapy that addresses an individual's subconscious mind, using the power of your imagination for beneficial change. A hypnotherapist uses hypnosis to give relevant, positive and beneficial suggestions to help an individual bring about the change they desire. Hypnosis is not sleep, as the client is aware and in control, but a state of deep relaxation, so comfortable, that the client enjoys profoundly the experience and say so at the end of the session.
For this reason, it is very important to have a good rapport with the hypnotherapy you choose. Many times a lady patient can feel more comfortable with a female hypnotherapist. It is also important you make that first phone contact with the therapist of your election.
Hypnotherapy is widely accepted as a beneficial psychological therapy to access your inner potential. Hypnotherapy helps with emotional problems a person finds hard to cope with, and some physical problems can also be effectively treated with hypnosis too, such as IBS and insomnia, cronic pain, etc. (see list of conditions).
Hypnotherapists will often combine hypnosis with psychotherapy and counselling techniques to benefit the client. The techniques used will depend on the issue the individual is seeking help for.
